Medjugorje Bosnia and Herzegovina

Medjugorje is a beautiful little town nestled in the lush green mountains of Bosnia and Herzegovina, best known for reported apparitions of the Virgin Mary in 1981. Today, Medjugorje is one of the most visited places in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with many devout Catholics hoping to make the pilgrimage at least once in their lifetime. Pilgrimages to Medjugorje can last from a few days to several weeks or even months. However, not everyone can afford such a long stay, so many visitors choose a shorter trip instead. Situated only a few hours from the popular city of Dubrovnik in Croatia, Medjugorje can be reached by bus or on one of the many available private tours.
